Vincenzo il ROMANTICO
Hello everyone,
It was an interesting process to translate these songs in my mother tongue. These are songs I grew up with singing them in English obviously, but now I rediscovered them in my own language, Italian, the language of love and that is why the album is called Romantico. It's a dive in the past with attention towards the future. Deconstructing and rearranging them was a real pleasure and now they feel like original songs because they were never recorded or translated in Italian before and I am proud to have done it!

I am very excited to start this blog and to share with you my world!
I just finished shooting my first video from the album ROMANTICO directed by Charles Devens and his great team from Brussels, which will soon be released world wide on DELL'ARTE MUSIC.
It's an exciting project I produced with Steve Galante and my bro Rick Allison whom I have been collaborating with for the past 15 years, since I moved to Montreal from my home town Rome.
After writing with Rick for Lara Fabian, Chimène Badi and other francophone artists, together we decided to produce my solo album in Italian of classic hits from the 80s and 90s.
It was a real challenge to maintain the inner meaning of the songs, afraid that the approvals would not be granted but we managed to obtain them from the original authors and composers. Artists like Phil Collins, Sting, Billy Joel, George Michael all said yes to my Italian words! It took over a year to get everyone's approvals but we got them!
